abstract | The present invention relates to using a polyester for producing molded parts having a content of extractable compounds ranging from 0.01 weight percentage to 0.5 weight percentage, preferably from 0.01 weight percentage to 0.3 weight percentage, particularly preferably from 0.01 weight percentage to 0.1 weight percentage (relative to the total weight of polyester and extractable compounds and determined by 24-hour extraction with xylol at 139°C, respectively), wherein the polyester can be produced according to methods comprising the steps: a) producing a polyester by polycondensation, and b) compounding the polyester obtained in step a) in the presence of at least one difunctional or polyfunctional compound that is reactive with the polyester. In this way, a polyester having a higher molecular weight than the polyester obtained in step a) is obtained. The present invention further relates to a method for producing said molded parts as well as to said molded parts. |
