abstract | The invention relates to a method and a device for creating an object database and for finding objects in the database. In particular, the invention relates to a method and a device for creating an image feature database as well as the associated storage and rapid search of image features. According to the invention, a method for creating an object database is provided. The method comprises the steps of providing at least one feature vector extracted from an object and an associated object ID for a plurality of objects, wherein the feature vectors are preferably normalized and have a length of 1, extracting at least one Fingerprint from each of the feature vectors, storing the at least one identifier along with the associated object ID for each object in a first database, and optionally storing the feature vectors for each object in the first database. |
