abstract |
The invention relates to an actuator (50) comprising a device (10) for varying the pH of a solvent in which a substance is dissolved, comprising an enclosure (12) in contact with the solvent by a wall (18) permeable to the solvent and the substance, the enclosure containing enzymes adapted to transform the substance to provide hydrogen or hydroxyl ions, the enclosure wall being non-permeable to enzymes; a first chamber (52) connected to the pH variation device, and at least partially containing solvent, the pH variation device being adapted to bring the pH into the first chamber in a given pH range; and a second deformable chamber (60) connected to the first chamber, the first chamber containing means (52) adapted to transfer solvent between the first chamber and the second chamber when the pH in the first chamber is in the given pH range . |
