abstract | The invention relates to a method for producing protective covers or coatings by coating substrates with a radiation curable coating compound and subsequent radiation curing, characterized in that the radiation curable coating compound comprises a compound of the formula (I), wherein R 1 and R 2 are an organic remnant independently of one another, each having at least one C atom, wherein the sum, however, of the C atoms of R 1 and R 2 equals at least 4 or R 1 and R 2 together form a ring system of at least 4 C atoms, R 3 is a hydrogen atom or Y, X is a C 1 to C 10 alkyl group, n and m are 0 or a whole number from 1 to 50 independently of one another, Y is a group, selected from -CH=CH 2 ; -CH 2 -CH=CH 2; formula (I.I) or formula (I.II) and R 4 can be an H atom, a methyl group or -CH 2 -C(=O)-OH and R 5 is an H atom and R 6 is a group -C(=O)-OH or, alternatively, R 6 is an H atom and R 5 a group -C(=O)-OH. |
