titleOfInvention | In situ preparations forming bonding gel, in particular for topical application to moistened skin/mucous membranes |
abstract | The present invention relates to preparations comprising lipids and water and having a particular combination of non-ionic low (poly)ethoxylized emulsifiers having one or more ether or ester bonds having in particular bivalent, trivalent, or tetravalent (poly)alcohols, including sorbitan and higher ethoxylized non-ionic gel emulsifiers. Such preparations form "irreversible" (permanent) gels when applied in particular to mucous membranes, and comprise an improved bonding and effect spectrum in this respect. The preparations according to the invention are therefore suitable for topical application to externally accessible, in particular moistened skin, primarily mucous membranes of humans and animals, such as the oral and nasal areas, the vagina, urinary tract and anal area, or the conjunctiva of the eye. The application can thereby be a cosmetic-dermatological or a pharmaceutical-medical application. |
