abstract A process for preparing 2-aminosubstituted 1,3-benzothiazine-4-ones is provided which comprises the following step:n n nwherein Y is halogen; nR is independently selected from C 1-6 -alkyl which may optionally be substituted by halogen, -NO 2 , halogen, -CHO -COOR 4 (wherein R 4 is hydrogen or C 1-6 -alkyl) and -CN; nR 3 is C 1-3 -alkyl which may be substituted by halogen; nX is halogen; and nn is 0 or an integer of 1 to 4; if n is 2, 3 or 4, multiple Rs may be the same or different.
