titleOfInvention Active medical device including means for detecting and filtering artefacts by cardiac vector diagram analysis
abstract This device comprises means for collecting the electrical activity of the heart over a series of cardiac cycles capable of producing at least two distinct temporal components ( Vbip , Vuni ) from at least two EGM endocavity electrogram signals originating from a same cavity of the heart and collected concurrently on respective separate pathways. Analysis and filtering means operate by: determining a non-temporal 2D characteristic of VGM vectogram of the analyzed cardiac cycle, based on variations of one of the temporal components ( Vuni ) as a function of the other ( Vbip ); morphological analysis of this 2D characteristic to deduce therefrom at least one intrinsic descriptor parameter, in particular the mean angle of the velocity vectors at consecutive points of this characteristic; and classification of the cardiac cycle analyzed as an invalid noisy cycle or as a valid non-noisy cycle, based on this descriptor parameter.
