titleOfInvention Polyethylene for the production of tight head drums
abstract The invention is directed to a pelletized ethylene polymer having:. a density > 954 kg/m 3 and ≤ 959 kg/m 3 ( according to ISO 1183). a high-load melt index ≥ 1.7 g/10 min and ≤ 10 g/10 min (according to ISO 1133;190°C;21.6 kg)). an Izod impact strength (-30°C) ≥ 40 KJ/m 2 and ≤ 90 KJ/m 2 (according to ISO 180/A) and. M w / M n ≥ 8 and ≤ 17 (according to size exclusion chromatography). The strain hardening modulus of the polymer ≥10 and ≤ 25 (according to the method as described in Elsevier, Polymer 46(2005) 6369-6379). The polyethylene is applied in the production of tight head drums.
