The present invention relates to the field of impact modifiers, their derivatives and their use in the preparation of two-part epoxy resin compositions.n n n The invention particularly relates to amino-terminated impact modifiers which are prepared by reacting an isocyanate-group-containing polyurethane prepolymer, a primary diamine and optionally at least one Michael acceptor. The formulated two-component epoxy resin compositions are characterized by a strong increase in impact strength while maintaining an acceptable tensile shear strength.n n n The impact modifiers according to the invention and the epoxy resin compositions containing them are particularly suitable for vehicle construction. |
