abstract | Provided are solar control window films comprising an infrared reflective film comprising a first transparent substrate, an infrared reflective layer comprising an aminium radical cation compound in a crystalline state and an organic polymer, a second transparent substrate, and an infrared absorbing layer, wherein the infrared reflective layer is interposed between the first substrate and the infrared absorbing layer so that solar radiation is received first by the infrared reflecting layer before reaching the infrared absorption layer. Preferably, the first and second substrates are laminated together with a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive. Also provided are methods for making such solar control window films. |
