The invention relates to an integrated method, in which pure carbonyl iron powder is produced in an installation A by the decomposition of pure iron pentacarbonyl, carbon monoxide (CO), which is released during the decomposition of the iron pentacarbonyl is fed to installation A to produce further carbonyl iron powder from iron, or is fed to a connected installation B to produce syngas, or is fed to a connected installation C to produce hydrocarbons from syngas. The carbonyl iron powder produced in installation A is fed to a connected installation C and used as a catalyst or catalyst component to produce hydrocarbons from the syngas produced by installation B. |
