abstract | The object of the invention is a method for preventing the polymerization in the production or handling of unsaturated organosilicon compounds (S) of the general formula (1) H2C=C(R1) [C(O)O]w(O)x-(R2)y-Si(R3)z(OR4)3-z (1), where R1, R2, R3, R4, w, x, y and z have the definitions indicated in claim 1, wherein at least one step in the production or handling is carried out in a technical system (A), the surfaces thereof that come into contact with the organosilicon compounds (S) being made of at least 70% non-ferrous material, wherein a material is identified as non-ferrous if it contains less than 1 wt.-% iron, wherein the technical system (A) represents either a system for a batch process with a fill volume of at least 200 1 or a system for a continuous process with a throughput of at least 15 l/h. |
