abstract | A polyvinyl chloride resin composition contains: from 0.005 to 5 parts by weight of a vinyl alcohol-based polymer having a degree of saponification of from 30 to 99. 9 mol%, having a viscosity average degree of polymerization of 1000 or less, and having a carboxyl group, a sulfonic acid group, or a salt thereof at a terminal; and from 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a zinc compound, based on 100 parts by weight of a polyvinyl chloride resin. In addition, a polyvinyl chloride resin composition contains: from 0.005 to 5 parts by weight of a vinyl alcohol-based polymer having an alkyl group with a carbon number of 6 or more at a terminal, having a degree of saponification of from 30 to 99. 9 mol%, and having a viscosity average degree of polymerization of 1000 or less; and from 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a zinc compound, based on 100 parts by weight of a polyvinyl chloride resin. A polyvinyl chloride resin composition is thereby provided which is excellent in thermal stability while being shaped and with which a less colored shaped article can be obtained. |
