titleOfInvention | A process for producing purified terephthalic acid |
abstract | A new method is disclosed for producing purified terephthalic acid (PTA) by keeping terephthalic acid (TA) in dissolved state during the process of oxidation reaction, thereby, the obtained intermediate product crude terephthalic acid (CTA) do not contain the two impurities of 4-carboxyl benzaldehyde (4-CBA) and P-methyl benzoic acid (PT acid), so that it can leave out the "purified" production process, and reduce the consumptions of raw material, acetic acid, fuel and power, and water to save the production cost. |
