titleOfInvention Surgical aid for ophthalmology
abstract The invention relates to auxiliary means (1) provided with a hollow inner chamber (6) that is to be inserted through an incision (2) of the outer part (3) of an eyeball (4). A surgical instrument (7) can be introduced into the vitreous body (5) through said auxiliary means. The proximal end of the auxiliary means (1), and the part (9) that is to be applied to the outer side of the eyeball, has a preferably funnel -shaped receiving element that is used to guide a distal end (8) of surgical instrument (7) into the inner chamber. The part (10) of the auxiliary aid (1) that protrudes into the back of the outer part (3) has a cross-sectional widening (11), advantageously, an elongate cross-section. A marking or similar should also be present in order to mark the rotational position of the auxiliary means (1). Said auxiliary means (1) can be rotated in a controlled manner in a blocked or a released position and can no longer come out or, even worse, fall into the inside of the eyeball (4) during engagement.
