abstract A neurosurgical catheter (1) is described that comprises a fine tube (2) for insertion into the brain parenchyma of a patient. The catheter comprises a port or ports at its distal end for delivery of a therapeutic agent to a desired brain target. The fine tube (2) has an external diameter of not more than 1.0mm. Neurosurgical apparutus comprising the catheter device (1), a pump and a connector tube (3p) are also described.
