abstract The method involves determining confidence coefficients accounting on reliability of impedance of a rechargeable cell based on a function of a variable selected from current, temperature or a state of charge of the cell or derivatives or integrals with respect to time. A real state of health of a battery (10) is determined at a given point in time using a state of health of the battery at a corrected preceding point in time based on the cell impedance determined at the given point in time and weighted by the confidence coefficient. An independent claim is also included for an electronic system for managing a state of health of a battery.
