A method of characterizing the coagulation or sedimentation dynamics of a fluid such as whole blood, a blood fraction or blood plasma, comprising: illuminating a sample of said fluid with a spatially coherent light beam; acquiring a time series of images of a pattern of granularity generated by the interaction between said sample and said spatially coherent light beam; and processing said time series of images; characterized in that said processing step comprises calculating a function (r) representative of the spatial variation of said granularity pattern between two or more images of the series; and analyzing the temporal evolution of said function.n n n Device for implementing such a method |
