titleOfInvention | Method for producing acylglycinates |
abstract | The invention relates to a method for producing acylglycinates of formula (I) wherein R1 represents a linear or branched, saturated alkanoyl group having between 6 and 30 carbon atoms, or a linear or branched, mono- or polyunsaturated alkenoyl group having between 6 and 30 carbon atoms, and Q+ represents a cation selected from the alkali metals Li+, Na+ and K+, characterised in that glycine comprises fatty acid chloride R1CI, wherein R1 which has the meaning given in formula (I), is provided in water and in presence of a basic alkali compound, the cations Q+ are selected from Li+, Na+ und K+, but in the absence of organic solvents, is reacted at between 30 - 35 °C, and the proportion of fatty acid chloride R1CI containing acyl groups R1 having 18 or more carbon atoms, in relation to the total amount of used fatty acid chloride, is less than 2,0 % in wt. |
