The invention comprises an integrated and simple system to perform automated simultaneous and specific detection of multiple analytes by the use of polymerase chain reaction. The system integrates the functionalities of cell lysis and extraction of DNA, dilution of the lysate, multiplexed polymerase chain reactions, detection of the amplified DNA by a flow-over array by use of confocal scanning technology or evanescent wave excitation and image capture. |
