abstract |
The invention relates to the use of an efficacious quantity of an active principle from flax (genus Linum) in a cosmetic composition for activating cytochrome C and stimulating mitochondrial function. The active principle is produced by the hydrolysis of flax proteins and principally contains polypeptides or peptides and may be used in isolation or together with at least one other active principle. The invention further relates to a method for cosmetic treatment for protecting the skin and appendages against external attack and to counteract skin aging. |
