titleOfInvention Novel tumor marker for pancreatic cancer
abstract Disclosed is a novel protein useful as a tumor marker for pancreatic cancer or a fragment of the protein. The protein or the fragment thereof is a modified α-fibrinogen protein having an oxidized amino acid residue therein or a fragment thereof having the same amino acid residue therein. The oxidized amino acid residue is at least one amino acid residue selected from the group consisting of (a) a proline residue corresponding to a proline residue located at position-530 in the sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:2 and (b) a proline residue corresponding to a proline residue located at position-565 in the sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:2.
