The invention relates to a method for avoiding or reducing permeation of soil particles in a hydrocarbon reservoir, comprising applying (a) a urease producing micro-organism; (b) urea; and (c) optionally calcium or another ion for forming a carbonate mineral, to the hydrocarbon reservoir and allowing the micro-organism to degrade urea under formation of a carbonate mineral. |
