abstract |
A cigarette paper of the present invention includes a base cigarette paper (12) and a plurality of combustion-suppressing regions (14) provided, spaced apart from each other, on one surface of the base cigarette paper (12), the combustion-suppressing regions (14) being formed by applying a polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of polymerization of 900 or more, or a polyvinyl alcohol whose 3% by weight aqueous solution exhibits a viscosity of 5 to 30 mPa·s as measured at 20°C. |
