titleOfInvention | Implantation device for metabolite sensors |
abstract | The invention relates to an implantation device (110) for implanting a sensor element (114) for detecting at least one analyte in a body fluid or a body tissue (116). The implantation device (110) comprises at least one cannula (118) for penetrating a skin surface (112) of a patient. The cannula (118) has at least one receiving area (124) for receiving the sensor element (114). The implantation device (110) further has at least one hydraulic container (128) connected to the cannula (118) for receiving a hydraulic fluid (132) and at least one pressure generating device (142). The pressure generating device (142) is configured to pressurize the hydraulic fluid (132), the sensor element (114) being transferable from the cannula (118) into the body tissue (116) by the hydraulic fluid (132). |
