titleOfInvention Method and device for killing weeds
abstract This invention relates to a method of (and a device for) withering, scalding, damaging and/or killing weeds and/or other plant vegetation by surface treatment thereof, the method comprising treating an area (101) comprising one or more weeds and/or other plant vegetation to be treated, where steam of a gas and high intensity and high power acoustic waves (104) are applied to at least a part of said surface area (101), where at least a part of said applied steam (103) and at least a part of said applied acoustic waves (104) are brought to coincide within said surface area (101) thereby withering, scalding, damaging and/or killing at least a part of said one or more weeds and/or other plant vegetation. The combination of applied steam and high intensity and high power acoustic waves to the weeds and/or unwanted plant vegetation increases and enhances the withering, scorching and week killing effect of the steam.
