| abstract |
The invention relates to the use of Neopentylglycoldüsononanoat (CAS number 27841-07-2) as a fixative for perfume oils or as a fixative for (top note) fragrances. Furthermore, the invention relates to certain compositions containing neopentylglycoldsonsonanoate and one or more top note fragrances. The invention further relates to a process for the preparation of such compositions and (cosmetic) products comprising a composition according to the invention. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for imparting, enhancing or modifying an odor on the (human) skin. A particular aspect of the present invention relates to improving the adhesion of volatile fragrances to (human) skin and / or (human) hair. In addition, the invention relates to a compilation (kit) comprising neopentylglycoldsonsonanoate and one or more top-grade fragrances. |
