abstract |
A process of biotransformation of ferulic acid into vanillin, the process comprising the steps of (a) immobilizing a microorganism of the order of actinomycetes in a compressible inert porous medium; (b) adding a solution of ferulic acid or one of the salts thereof; (c) incubating in order to carry out the biotransformation reaction; (d) recovering the biotransformation solution obtained in step (c); and (e) extracting the vanillin from the biotransformation solution obtained in step (d). |
