titleOfInvention Method for production of biocompatible implant
abstract A heat treatment is performed on a base material so that its surface is formed thereon with a titanium oxide film, and then, the titanium oxide film is irradiated with ultraviolet rays, whereby a biocompatible implant is produced. At this time, preferable methods are that for forming a titanium oxide film by heating a base material made of titanium metal or a titanium alloy in an oxidizable gas, and that for forming a titanium oxide film according to a sol-gel method by coating a liquid containing a titanium compound on the surface of the base material, followed by heating. Thereby, a method for producing a biocompatible implant having a titanium oxide film excellent in an ability of forming hydroxyapatite is provided.
