abstract A fastener for securing an implant for correcting spinal deformity on a lamina of a vertebra comprises a plate having a support portion for resting on the lamina. The plate has on one side a curved portion for mounting the plate in the lamina. A longitudinal direction of the plate extends from the side with the curved portion to a side opposite to the curved portion. A transverse direction of the plate is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The plate may have a width of 7 mm to 13 mm in the transverse direction. The plate may further comprise two projections which adjoin the curved portion. Each projection may have a portion facing away from the curved portion of the plate, which is arranged opposite the support portion.
