abstract | The invention provides means for determining the concentrations of various components speedily with high precision and high sensitivity. The invention relate to oxidative color -developing compounds represented by the general formula (1) or salts thereof; a process for production thereof; reagent compositions; and test tools made by using the same: (1) wherein R1 and R2 are each independently linear or branched alkyl of 1 to 5 carbon atoms; and R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 are each independently hydrogen, a carboxyl group, a sulfonic acid group, or a salt of either group, with the proviso that at least one of R3 to R7 is a carboxyl group, a sulfonic acid group, or a salt of either group and the others are hydrogen. |
