titleOfInvention | Method for the co-production of cyclic carbonates and amino acids |
abstract | The invention relates to a conjugated method for the production of ω-amino-alkanoic acids and polyol carbonates from a natural monounsaturated fatty acid, comprising the following zones: I) zone for methanolysis of a natural oil containing a triglyceride with at least one monounsaturated fatty acid, producing methanolate from the fatty acid and glycerol; II) zone for synthesis of the ω-amino-alkanoic acid, comprising the following steps, namely (a) transformation of the methanolate into a ω-unsaturated fatty ester, either by ethenolysis of the methanolate or pyrolysis of a methanolate including an OH, (b) hydrolysis of the ester formed, (c) hydrobromination of the ω-unsaturated acid obtained in step (b) and (d) amination with ammonia of the compound resulting from the hydrobromination in step (C); III) zone for synthesis of a polyol carbonate by reacting urea either directly on the glycerol or on a diol obtained by hydrogenation reduction of the glycerol, the reaction of the polyol with the urea producing ammonia; IV) zone for recovery of the ammonia produced in zone III as well as that produced in zone IId where the reaction is performed with excess ammonia, for use in the amination of step (d) of zone II. |
