titleOfInvention Expandable devices for emplacement in bone and other body parts and methods of use of such devices
abstract Disclosed are expandable devices for emplacement in bone and other body parts and methods of use of such devices. Embodiments of the expandable devices may comprise a plurality of interlocking members that can assume a first unexpanded configuration wherein the plurality of members are substantially contained within the body of a first of the plurality of the members, and a second expanded configuration wherein the members are expanded such that each of the members substantially emerges from at least one other member, and a contact element for engaging at least a portion of the body part. In certain embodiments, the expandable devices of the present invention provide a means to perform a posterior corpectomy.
