The invention relates to platelet-shaped copper-containing metallic effect pigments which have a copper content of 60 to 100% by weight, based on the total metal content, wherein the metal pigments have a thickness distribution determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) in the representation as a total throughput distribution, a) an h 50 value of 10 to 50 nm, b) have an h 90 value of 20 to 70 nm.n n n The invention further relates to a process for the preparation of these pigments and also to their use and to a printing ink containing the pigments according to the invention and a coated article containing these pigments. |
