abstract | A system and associated method are provided for mechanically fixating a region of a skull (102) to a portion of a spine (104). A plate (200) is provided to contact a region of a skull (106) and be secured thereto. A spinal rod (600) is configured to extend from a location adjacent the plate (200) to a location adjacent at least one vertebra (108). An adjustable housing (300) is provided to secure the rod (600) to the plate (200), and has a first position wherein the relative position of the rod to the plate can be adjusted and a second position wherein the relative position of the rod to the plate is secured. |
