Provided is a stress-responsive NAC gene (SNAC2) from rice which comprises (a) a DNA sequence as shown in positions 112-1023 of SEQ ID NO:1 or (b) a DNA sequence that encodes the same protein as that encoded by (a). The SNAC2 gene finds use in production of transgenic plants having increased tolerance to cold, drought and salt stresses. |
