A process for regeneration of a catalyst bed which is deactivated in the context of a heterogeneously catalyzed partial dehydrogenation of a hydrocarbon, in which, at elevated temperature, a gas containing molecular oxygen is conducted through the deactivated catalyst bed and, in the course of the regeneration, the molecular oxygen content of the regeneration gas is increased several fold and the increase of the carbon dioxide content of the regeneration gas on flowing through the deactivated catalyst bed is restricted to values £ 5% by volume. |
