abstract - Method for mapping a complex sedimentary basin.n- We build a mesh representative of the current architecture of the basin. A mechanical and three-dimensional structural restoration is applied to reconstruct the past architectures of the basin, from the actual to a geological time t. Then we perform a simulation of the geological and geochemical processes that control the installation of a petroleum deposit, directly in the meshes resulting from the restoration, from the geological time t to the current one. This simulation is then used to map the sedimentary basin, so as to identify areas of the basin in which hydrocarbons may have accumulated.n- Application in particular to the exploitation of oil fields for example.
