The invention relates to a pricking system for obtaining a sample of body fluid, comprising a compartment for receiving a lancet supply strip (5) with a number of lancets (6), which are arranged transversely in relation to the longitudinal direction of the lancet supply strip (5), a conveying device, to bring the lancets (6) of the lancet supply strip (5) into a pricking position one after the other by transporting a lancet supply strip (5) that is inserted into the receiving compartment, and a pricking drive, in order to impart a pricking motion to a lancet (6) that is located in the pricking position. The pricking system is distinguished by a bending device (10), to bend a portion of the lancet supply strip (5) in the longitudinal direction of the lancet supply strip (5) and thereby separate from the lancet supply strip (5) a lancet tip (6a) of a lancet (6) for pricking. |
