titleOfInvention | Cancer immunotherapy predictive parameters |
abstract | The invention relates to a method for predicting the efficacy of a cancer immunotherapy of an individual with respect to clinical benefit, which comprises the following steps: - providing a blood sample of said individual, - (a1) determining the number of lymphocytes in the blood of said individual, and/or (a2) determining the number of neutrophils in the blood of said individual, and - (bl) identifying the individual as having a predictive clinical benefit from the immunotherapy, if the number Of lymphocytes is below or equal to a lymphocyte baseline level of 1,4 to 1,8 x 109 per liter blood, especially below or equal to 1,6 x 109 per liter blood; or (b2) identifying the individual as having a predictive clinical benefit from the immunotherapy, if the number of neutrophils is below or equal to a neutrophil baseline level of from 4,0 to 6,0 x 109 per liter blood, especially below or equal to 5,0 x 109 neutrophils per liter blood; or (b3) identifying the individual as not having a predictive clinical benefit, if the number of lymphocytes is above a lymphocyte baseline level of 1,4 to 1,8 x 109 per liter blood, especially above 1,6 x 109 per liter blood and the number of neutrophils is above a neutrophil baseline level of from 4,0 to 6,0 x 109 per liter blood, especially above 5,0 x 109 neutrophils per liter blood. |
