The present invention relates to an electroluminescent device. More specifically, the electroluminescent device according to the present invention is comprised of a first electrode; a second electrode; and at least one organic layer(s) interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode; and the organic layer comprises one or more organic electroluminescent compound(s) represented by Chemical Formula (1) as host material: n n Chemical Formula 1 L 1 L 2 M(Q) y n nwherein, the ligands, L 1 and L 2 are independently selected from the following structures:n nwherein, M represents a divalent or trivalent metal; ny is 0 when M is a divalent metal, while y is 1 when M is a trivalent metal; nQ represents (C6-C60)aryloxy or tri(C6-C60)arylsilyl, and the aryloxy or triarylsilyl of Q may be further substituted by (C1-C60)alkyl or (C6-C60)aryl. n The electroluminescent devices according to the invention exhibit excellent color purity and luminous efficiency. |
