abstract | Provided is an iontophoresis device which can be stably applied in the oral cavity of a patient over a long time period and can alleviate unpleasantness of the patient associated with the application thereof in the oral cavity. More specifically, provided is an iontophoresis device which comprises an electric power source, a working electrode assembly, which is connected to the electric power source, for releasing an ionic drug by iontophoresis to administer the drug into a living organism through an oral mucosa, and a non-working electrode assembly as a counter electrode of the working electrode assembly, characterized in that the electric power source, the working electrode assembly and the non-working electrode assembly are all placed in a support constituted of a denture. |
