abstract |
A process for the production of coated metal fine particles, characterized by mixing a powder containing TiC or a powder containing TiC and TiN with an oxide powder of a metal (M) having a standard free energy of formation (ΔGM-O) satisfying the relationship: ΔGM-O > ΔGTiO2 and heat-treating the obtained mixture in a non-oxidizing atmosphere to conduct the reduction of the oxide of the metal (M) with Ti and the surface coating of the obtained metal (M) particles with Ti oxides; and coated metal fine particles obtained by coating core particles made of a metal with Ti oxides, characterized by a carbon content of 0.2 to 1.4% by mass and a nitrogen content of 0.01 to 0.2% by mass. |
