abstract |
Disclosed is a novel electrode catalyst comprising an oxidase having a high electron transport efficiency. Also disclosed is an enzyme electrode which utilizes the electrode catalyst. The electrode catalyst comprises a CueO. The enzyme electrode comprises a carbon porous material and an electrode catalyst comprising a CueO and supported on the surface of the carbon porous material. The CueO is preferably derived from Escherichia coli. The carbon porous material constituting the enzyme electrode is preferably a carbon gel. The enzyme electrode may further comprise a mediator for promoting the receiving/acceptance of an electron between the carbon porous material and the CueO. |
