titleOfInvention Analysis system and method for analysing a bodily fluid sample on an analyte contained therein
abstract An analysis system for analyzing a body fluid sample for an analyte contained therein, comprising test elements (3) each having a housing (15) and a sample analysis channel (16) enclosed by the housing (15) having a sample addition port (12) and a measurement zone (19 ) and an evaluation device (2) with a dosing station (9) for dosing a liquid in a test element (3) located on the evaluation device (2) and with a measuring station (6) for measuring a characteristic of the analysis result Measured variable at the measuring zone (19) of a test element (3), which is in a measuring position, wherein the test elements (3) are designed such that a body fluid sample supplied through the sample addition opening (12) with a reagent system present in the sample analysis channel (16) reacts and the reaction of the body fluid sample with the reagent system to a change of the characteristic for the analysis result M size in the measuring zone (19) leads. The test elements (3) include a rinsing liquid addition port (13) other than the sample addition port (12) and a rinsing fluid collection chamber (31). The rinsing liquid adding port (13) and the rinsing fluid collecting chamber (31) are in fluid communication with each other via a rinsing fluid passage (32), the rinsing fluid passage (32) and the sample analyzing passage (16) being different from each other such that a fluid passing through the rinsing fluid passage (32) does not enters the measuring zone (19).
