abstract The automatically operating injection device has a measuring unit (17) for the determination of measurements to be made with injections of a medicament and has a memory (20) for storing force values, an evaluation unit (21) for determining an injection occlusion from the measured values and an occlusion alarm unit ( 12) . The measured values used are preferably force values to be applied during the injections. Furthermore, the injection device has a changeover unit (23), with which a time interval between force values to be stored can be changed automatically as a function of an evaluation result of the evaluation unit (21) , whereby a recording and evaluation period of measured values to be stored can be changed automatically.
