titleOfInvention Analytical system comprising an arrangement for temporally variable spatial light modulation and detection method implemented thereby
abstract The invention relates to an analytical system and a method carried out thereby for producing and measuring optical signals and/or the variations thereof from measuring regions which are arranged in a one-dimensional or two-dimensional array on an essentially optically transparent sensor platform (2). Said system comprises at least: an optical system provided with a lighting system (1) for illuminating measuring regions on the sensor platform (2), and a detection system (3) provided with at least one detection unit (11) for detecting signals from the measuring regions on the sensor platform, in the direction of the transmission or reflection of the illumination light in a spectral region comprising the spectral region of the illumination light; and a sensor platform (2) that can be introduced into the optical system and comprises measuring regions arranged thereon in a one-dimensional or two-dimensional array. The invention is characterised in that the illumination system (1) comprises an arrangement for rapidly variable spatial light modulation, described as an "SLM" (8.4), by which means, in the operating state, illumination patterns having freely selectable and rapidly variable dimensions which can be determined by the adjustments of the SLM (8.4) can be generated on the sensor platform (2), from an illumination light entering into the SLM (8.4), with essentially homogeneous intensity distribution in the cross-section of the illumination light, perpendicularly to the propagation direction thereof. The invention also relates to the use of the claimed analytical system and to the claimed method implemented thereby.
