A portable oxygen concentrator system being portable by a user, comprising: an internal rechargeable energy source (104); an air separation device converting ambient air into concentrated oxygen gas for said user and expel exhaust gas; a control unit (110) controlling the air separation device and therefore the generated amount of oxygen, and a vacuum generator (124) drawing exhaust gas from the air separation device to improve the recovery and productivity of the air separation device. The vacuum generator generates at its vacuum side a pressure ranging from -8.8 to -4.4 psig and the entire comprising the combination of the internal rechargeable energy source, the air separation device, and the vacuum generator has a weight in the range of 0.90 kg to 6.8 kg. |
