abstract Disclosed is a wound dressing comprising an absorber layer made of a functional fleece that encompasses at least first and second filaments. The first filaments contain a polyethylene terephthalate core and a shell which is made of polyolefins and into which a silver source is integrated. The second filaments contain a polyacrylnitrile core and a polyacryl shell. The absorber layer can absorb 0.15 to 1.20 ml/cm<SUP>2</SUP> of water.
