abstract |
Described are multistage polyvinyl ester dispersions with a low content of copolymerized acids or acid anhydrides. These can be produced by a multistage process in which a polyvinyl ester dispersion is produced in a first stage, in a second stage monomers in dissolved or pure form are added to the reaction mixture and thereafter the polymerization is restarted. The polymer dispersions produced in this way are distinguished by a low coagulum content and by increased tensile strengths of the films formed therefrom. |
